Needham Village residents worked hard with the Parish Council and Townlands Trust to establish a playing field and equipment behind the Village Hall. In 2019 the land was leased for 25 years by the Townlands Trust to the Parish Council who look after it.

There are football goals, a swing, pavilion, picnic table and timber climbing frame.
