Premises and Music Licences

The Village Hall owns a Premises Licence, issued by South Norfolk County Council. The Management Committee have based operating times based in the details of this licence. The operating times below form part of the Terms and Conditions for hiring the hall.

The Premises Licence authorises: Live Music, Recorded Music, Performance of Dance, Late Night Refreshment (indoors), Supply of Alcohol. You must notify the Management Committee if you wish to use the Premises Licence, particularly for the supply of alcohol, and we reserve the right to refuse such permission.

The Hall is also licensed with the PRS and PPL for the playing of live and recorded music. Please note that the law requires individual hirers to hold their own PPL licence if they plan to play recorded music in the Hall. See ‘Do I need a Music Licence‘ on the The Music Licence website.

If music is played in the hall, then the sound level must be reasonable to respect the privacy of nearby neighbours.
